Canasta Viva

Canasta Viva

Renovation of a former sports hall to host the store and offices of the organic brand Campo Vivo, located in Colonia Cuauhtémoc, Mexico City.

On the ground floor, the organic grocery store opens onto the street and is fully clad in OSB, a raw material that brings warmth and structure to the space. This single finish unifies walls, ceilings, and furnishings, while mirrors, plants, and natural light soften its density and visually expand the space. Mobile display modules, wall-mounted shelving, and rounded forms guide circulation throughout the store.

Upstairs, the offices occupy a large, bright volume beneath an industrial roof. Circular openings in the ceiling allow overhead light to filter in, while trees planted in the ground pierce through the slab and mark the different zones. Raw wood furniture, green walls, and bold colors (green, white, yellow) create an atmosphere that is both artisanal and vibrant.

A central kitchen, a bar, a small mezzanine lounge, and informal seating areas encourage spontaneous exchanges and a relaxed working environment. The design combines structural clarity, humble materials, and lush greenery to create a space in harmony with the brand’s values.
