me,
it’s arnaud, the son of a kind woman coming from a poor class in ardèche. she doesn’t know her father and her mother hated her. my father is an egyptian coming also from a poor class but who became a wealthy businessman in chemistry and textile industry. they met in a bar in geneva. my mother asked him light. my father was 72 years old and my mother 32. I spent my childhood in the country side between lyon and geneva, and my elementary school in lyon at «West Point» an english school. in 1989, I went to the french school of cairo in egypt. there, I lived magnificent life, I saw many beautiful things, a very beautiful order that I always try to reproduce in my works. I believe that the "orient" can help the "occident". When I was 11, I was hit by a truck on a sort of highway. I was very lucky to stay alive. my father died the same year. the early consciousness of death made me become seriously aware of the time passing, and nourished my permanent need to create, to exist, and to live. I didn’t get anything of my father’s inheritance. my half sister (70 years old) and my half brother (dead at 65) made false papers denying my existence as being the son of my father. I wanted to be an inventor. I started architecture in Lyon in 1996, then unsatisfied with education and life in france, I left for switzerland prefering work instead of a festive erasmus year in budapest. in switzerland, I saw the paroxysm of democracy, in which it can become a dictatorship of the good values. then I lived a bit in rotterdam where i tried to write "the dictature of democracy". I had my master in 2005 with the most wanted prize of the polytechnic school of lausanne. I went after in Paris, an old town full of old buildings. I created enz studio with some partners and was resident in an artist workplace : la générale des arts. having left swiss to live in the city was a bit disappointing for what I’ve found in Paris. I went to live in Mexico city to study a contemporary system different than the one of the old world.
